Gluten is a type of complex carbohydrate that is found in many grains like wheat, rye and barley (and also added to many processed foods and supplements) and gives food elasticity which we all know as “doughy.”

This description matches the pizza at Pizza Hut, which makes it one of my favorite places for gluten-free dining.

In the past, their thin ‘n crispy pizza crusts were not gluten-free. In two locations, I have been able to order gluten-free pizzas that were made in a special area with its own separate utensils and ingredients that did not touch any wheat or gluten products, but this seems to be a rare practice.

If you’re looking for a place that has a gluten-free crust option, then look for this in the description. In addition, most Pizza Hut locations have a good variety of toppings that can be added to any pizza- just ask your server about them.

At Pizza Hut, they have a full gluten free menu complete with appetizers, pizza and desserts! The servers we talked to said most people order off the gluten free menu because it tastes so good.

I have a recipe for gluten free bread that you can easily make from home! My favorite brand of gluten free flour is Bob’s Red Mill , but I’ve heard great things about Cup4Cup as well.

Option 1: Make your own! There are plenty of recipes online to make homemade croutons.

Option 2: Buy a bag of gluten free croutons. If you’re not up for making your own, I recommend buying some from the brand Ian’s . They make great tasting and affordable gluten free croutons.

I know this may sound strange, but you can buy pre-made breading! Brands like Ian’s make breading that is gluten free. This saves you from having to buy all the ingredients and making your own breading, which can get time consuming.

Option 1: Buy a package of gluten-free tortillas. Many stores have their own brand, or they sell individual tortillas for you to make your own at home.

Option 2: Make your own! There are plenty of great recipes for homemade tortillas, or you can try buying a pre-made mix and cooking it according to the directions on the box.
